Social Planning for Improving Institutional Performance (A Study from the Perspective of Social Work)

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the importance of social planning as an effective tool for improving institutional performance from a social work perspective. The study reviewed how social planning strategies can be applied to meet community needs and enhance institutional effectiveness. The study's importance is highlighted by the pivotal role social planning plays in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of social institutions. It is not limited to organizing institutional work only, but is considered a fundamental means for understanding social realities and directing efforts to meet changing community needs, thereby achieving the objectives of these institutions. The study adopted a qualitative exploratory approach, aiming to provide deep insights into how institutional performance can be improved through social planning. Data was based on the experiences and opinions of stakeholders, and descriptive information was collected through a review of previous literature, in addition to conducting interviews and focus groups with local communities to understand their needs and views. The study concluded that social planning enhances institutions' ability to respond to changing needs and contributes to achieving sustainable development. The results also indicated that social planning positively affects the efficiency and effectiveness of social institutions through optimal resource allocation and process improvement. The study recommended developing clear strategic plans for social institutions, with a focus on beneficiary needs. It also called for providing continuous training and development opportunities for social work professionals to enhance their skills and capabilities.
