The Entrepreneurial Orientations of Educational Leaders in Universities in Light of Innovative Technologies

Abstract

This study aimed to identify entrepreneurial orientations among educational leaders in universities, particularly in the context of innovative technologies. The study also sought to pinpoint the most significant challenges and obstacles that might hinder the activation of these orientations within university environments. Furthermore, it explored the anticipated positive impacts of fostering entrepreneurship, such as improving the quality of education and enhancing universities' competitiveness. Based on these objectives, the study proposed practical and specific mechanisms for implementing entrepreneurial orientations in alignment with the realities of Palestinian universities, with the goal of supporting innovation and developing leadership and academic competencies.
The study adopted a qualitative methodology, and the researcher conducted interviews with 15 faculty members. The findings from these interviews revealed several proposed recommendations from the faculty. These included: implementing modern strategies suitable for university environments, led by educational leaders with effective creative orientations; developing a dedicated university platform to foster creative skills among educational leaders in a contemporary and continuous manner; organizing training courses and awareness campaigns on the importance of activating entrepreneurial orientations through modern methods; and universities actively seeking to increase financial allocations that support creative activities and skills.
