Muslim Teacher, Qualities, Success Factors.Abstract
The teacher occupies a pivotal role in the educational process, serving as the fundamental cornerstone upon which learning is built. Consequently, this article aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Highlighting the Significance and Status of the Teacher: To accord teachers the respect, reverence, and honor they deserve and require. It suffices as a source of pride and honor that Allah has placed their mission among the duties entrusted to His finest creation, the Messengers (peace be upon them), and has lauded it in numerous verses of His Holy Book. Furthermore, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself was keen to emphasize the significance of the teacher's role and message, elucidating their high standing with Allah Almighty and all of creation. Indeed, the teacher is engaged in their mission, while creation is engaged in seeking forgiveness for them, as the Prophet stated: "Verily, Allah, His angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the ant in its hole and the fish, supplicate for those who teach people good."
- Reminding of Some Important Qualities that the Teacher Should Possess When Instructing Students: Such as God-consciousness (Rabaniyyah), sincerity (Ikhlas), patience (Sabr), compassion (Rahmah), and other noble attributes that have a significant impact on the teacher's success in their mission and message.
- Identifying Some Factors that Contribute to a Teacher's Success and Distinction in Their Work: Such as understanding the objectives of the subject matter being taught, strength of character, diversification in teaching methods and approaches, thorough preparation, openness to educational psychology, the utilization of illustrative aids, and, above all, seeking assistance from Allah Almighty.
